A team of 6 BTFT supporters are training hard for the Ilkley Half Marathon on July 11th 2021. Money is being raised to help our friends in the Dogon area. Donations will go towards famine relief and well-digging, and to support healthcare and education in one of the poorest countries in the world.

EVENT: Ladies Please Choir Sings for Tereli

Time:7.30pm

Venue:Burley Methodist Church, Main Street

Description: The Ladies Please Choir, originally a Menston based choir but currently rehearsing in Burley Library, returns for a sixth year. The choir will sing a wide ranging selection of songs guaranteed to please all tastes. Much of the music has been arranged for ladies voices by their former Musical Director, the late Arnold Boddy. The choir will be accompanied on the piano by Mike Nicholas and directed by Dorrie Clarke. Guest soloist will be Lucy Clarke. All proceeds will go to the Burley-Tereli Friendship Trust which aims to create awareness, promote education and help the needy in the Dogon region of Mali in West Africa, The link between Burley and Tereli, in Mali came out of the On-the-Line Project in 2000.
